Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) is used to prioritise the critical assets that has an impact on safety or production. A risk matrix compatible with the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) is constructed using consequence classification of functional failure to prioritise critical assets for maintenance. RBM incorporates Generic Maintenance Concepts (GMCs) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to remove unnecessary maintenance, increasing reliability and safety, and optimise maintenance. It helps the maintenance team to prioritise maintenance task, level and frequency for a specific system/subsystem.

Norsok Z-008 is developed by the Norwegian petroleum industry to ensure adequate safety and increased cost effectiveness. The standard is applicable for all industries and phases (design, preparation for operation, and operational phase). It includes all risks associated with personnel, environment, production loss, direct and indirect cost including reputation.

Target Audience:
This course is recommended for personnel who are to perform maintenance work themselves, such as managers, technicians, or other personnel involved in maintenance.

Based on the participants background the course can be tailored as an introductory or advanced course.
