Important contract for the Dvalin EPCI project

Safetec has been awarded the contract for risk consultancy services for the Dvalin tie-in to Heidrun EPCI project. The project is spanning over 2017 with an optional prolonging into 2018. Safetec will assist Aibel and end client Statoil with risk analyses and specialist studies to support design work for the topside modifications at Heidrun. Safetec will also perform emergency preparedness analyses for both installation and operational phases.

Market sector responsible for Oil and Gas in Safetec, Andreas K. Rian, underlines the importance of the contract for Safetec, who is now 100% owned by employees: “In a challenging Oil and Gas market, securing such a contract is extremely satisfying. Both Aibel and Statoil that are key players in the market, have been and will be important clients for Safetec also in the future. Having the chance to work together like this is also key for common development of our services. We are also looking forward to get more acquainted with DEA Norge, the operator of Dvalin”.

“Safetec’s history with Heidrun goes way back. Safetec actually performed the first quantitative risk analysis for the Heidrun development back in the mid 80’s. This relationship has continued, and it is good to see that we get renewed trust from Aibel and Statoil once again. Although Safetec is developing into more market sectors, it is a clear goal for us to maintain our position as a leading provider or risk management services in the Oil and Gas industry. This contract confirms that we are on the right path”, says Jorunn Seljelid, Director of operations in Safetec.

Project manager in Safetec will be Principal Safety Engineer Anita Kittelsen.
