Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA)

FMECA-form
No chain is stronger than the weakest link. Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a well-proven method for studying problems that may arise from malfunctions in technical systems.

An FMEA becomes a failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) if criticalities or priorities are assigned to the failure mode effects.

An FMECA is often the first step of a reliability study. It involves reviewing as many components, modules and subsystems as possible to identify failure modes and causes and effects of such failures.

Safetec may assist you in conducting FMEA and FMECA analyses. In our work we combine thorough method knowledge with our broad and long experience from studies on different systems from various branches.

When conduction FMEA and FMECA analyses Safetec uses the Sabaton FMEA tool, developed by Sydvest.
